Kunstraum Potsdam is a dynamic exhibition space for contemporary art, located in the creative district of Schiffbauergasse. Housed in a converted hussar horse stable, the venue offers 450 m² of gallery space dedicated to showcasing innovative works by both emerging and established artists. Since its founding in 2006, Kunstraum has hosted around eight exhibitions annually, featuring painting, photography, sculpture, installation, video, and interdisciplinary formats. The program emphasizes socially relevant themes and aesthetic experimentation, often accompanied by artist talks, readings, concerts, and film screenings. Kunstraum collaborates with guest curators and cultural institutions to foster dialogue across genres and generations. Recent highlights include retrospectives of Wolfgang Joop and Erik Schmidt, reflecting the venue’s commitment to presenting internationally significant artists with local ties. As part of the Waschhaus cultural complex, Kunstraum Potsdam continues to be a vital platform for artistic exchange and critical reflection in Brandenburg’s capital.

Kunstraum Potsdam is located at Schiffbauergasse 4d, 14467 Potsdam, within the city’s bustling cultural district on the shores of the Tiefer See. Housed in a former hussar stable, this contemporary art gallery has become a prominent exhibition space for modern and international art since 2006. Surrounded by other cultural venues such as the Hans Otto Theater, Waschhaus Potsdam, fabrik Potsdam, and the Museum Fluxus+, it forms part of the dynamic Schiffbauergasse creative complex. The area combines artistic flair with scenic views over the lake, featuring cafés, outdoor terraces, and walking paths along the waterfront. The historic Dutch Quarter, Old Market Square, and Museum Barberini are only a short stroll away, while the area can be reached easily by tram or bus from central Potsdam.​
